Dream Dresses

Dear God!... and I mean that respectfully, as in "Dear God, how can someone consistently create so many beautiful dresses and can I please have three?" Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture, every dress is utter sweeping gorgeousness.  I'm changing out of my sweats right now and putting on some prettier pj pants.

*I just realized all morning I've been drinking Sleepy Time tea instead of Green Tea... I couldn't figure out why I was still so sleepy so I kept drinking more...vicious circle. I finally caught on.  Sheesh.  Spaz.  I'm coming out of the dark.

What would you like?
Orchids. The finest you've got.
Corsage?
No, no. A dozen, loose, looking like they don't care!

Ode To A Lemon Cake

Last week I had the best piece of lemon cake...ever... fresh sunlight melting on my lips. Dreamy.

It's Saturday... I'm going to clean, putter around, and track down some flowers. I think there might even be some crocheting in my future...a blanket.  I've been catching myself teaching the kitten to disco dance lately, she doesn't like it, I don't blame her... useless skill in the kitten world.

*Disco... that reminds me of these totally cool knitting kits by
Wool and the Gang
*The mystical lemon cake is from Gere a Deli
*According to a new study out of Spain, moderate drinking of beer can cut the risk of diabetes and high blood pressure and even help people lose weight.  Viva Pacifico.

Creamy Gold

Sheesh... I ran out of gas this morning. I kept putting it off, no time to stop... watching the little light flicker on and off, vaguely estimating how long I could put it off, clearly miscalculating.  I discovered, however, that I did have time to walk home in my pajamas.  It was only three blocks, the rain smelled good.  I forgot how good rain smells early in the morning. There's a lesson in this somewhere, like get a grip...

*Speaking of running on empty, I love this article on rest by Martha Beck.
*another benefit of running out of gas is seeing your friends when they rescue you...
