The Matador the essence of this painting has stayed with me... the little audio tour thingy said that Picasso identified with the matador because, pardon my paraphrasing... he was "a warrior battling against the forces that would make him doubt his talent"
I love looking closely at the brush strokes... like tiny, individual breaths that make up a moment recorded in paint.
